It is not planned to wait in the parking lot before an appointment.

Arrival at Manitou Canine Ranch

Parking is located away from the enclosures to preserve the quiet of the dog groups.

Upon your arrival:

You can exit the vehicle
• If I am not visible, please send me a text message

Before taking your dog out of the vehicle, you must wait for my signal.

Dogs must always be leashed in the parking lot.

When possible, it is best to park away from other vehicles to avoid crossing dogs.

Dog Integration into Boarding

After a long drive, I take a few minutes with the dog to walk, stretch, and explore the smells of the natural environment.

When the context is appropriate, you can accompany this short walk.

This step helps to ease the transition into boarding kennel stays.

Welcome and information validation

Upon arrival, we take the time to:

confirm important information
• verify the effects brought
• Validate emergency contact
• confirm the return date and time
• establish the mode of communication during the stay

A flat collar is mandatory for all dogs.

Other types of collars are not accepted at this dog boarding kennel.

Dog departure

I always escort the dog back to the parking lot to return them to their owners.

To preserve a calm and safe environment:

• avoid speaking loudly or making high-pitched sounds
• avoid calling out to dogs
• Do not approach the fences
Do not touch dogs through fences
Do not call dogs to the fences

Take your time to find your dog calmly.

After the reunion:

• handover of belongings
• brief summary of the stay

Communication during the stay

News is sent naturally throughout the days, often in the form of photos or videos.

Owners can also write at any time.

The priority remains being present with the dogs rather than constantly producing content.

Dog Effects

Dogs need very few items during their stay.

It is not necessary to bring:

bags
toys

The blankets and cushions should be simple, as they can get dirty or damaged.

Dog maintenance before the stay

Before arrival, it is recommended that:

• the claws are maintained

These measures reduce the risk of injury and discomfort.

Identification medals

Medals can be easily lost in natural environments.
