Discover Maxime

Multi-talented, curious, self-taught and a dreamer, it was through dog sledding that I entered the canine world.

Before that, I led an intense urban life, working in high-end catering and communications. For twenty years, I worked as a maître d' in renowned Montreal establishments, while managing events for various organizations. I loved this life, but something was missing.

Then, a turning point. A series of events and encounters made me realize that I was waiting to realize my full potential. That's when dogs and nature changed everything.

When I discovered dog sledding, I knew I was finally where I belonged. But over the years, one question became inescapable: how do you combine a passion for dogs with absolute respect for their well-being?

With Anne-Marie, my partner and love, we plunged into the study of positive reinforcement dog behavior, opening up a whole new perspective on our relationship with dogs. At the same time, our lifestyle followed this natural evolution: live more simply, more in harmony with nature and animals, reducing our dependence on the modern system.

Today, we live in complete autonomy in a minimalist, off-grid habitat in the heart of the forest. No running water, no mains electricity, but one immense asset: freedom. Every day, we cultivate this simplicity, this balance between our needs and those of the dogs, in a form of canine permaculturewhere every living thing has its rightful place.

Above all, we opened our home to dogs in need.
